One of the questions we often hear from Manhattan car accident victims following a crash is, “How do I get the Police Report related to my accident?” Throughout the five boroughs of New York City, a Police Report will typically be generated by the NYPD Officer that arrives on the scene and/or investigates the crash. Once this report has been generated, there is a public portion that often times is immediately available. Thereafter, a complete version of the Police Report may be obtained by going to the police precinct where the accident occurred, although many times any precinct within the five boroughs will be able to provide you with a copy. You may also be able to obtain a copy of the Police Accident Report online as well. However, it should be noted that it can sometimes take 3-5 days to obtain the report and there may be a small fee involved as well.
After you receive a copy of the Police Accident Report, you should contact the personal injury attorneys at Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. PC if you were injured and the accident was not your fault. We are here to help and can be contacted at 212-240-9465.
Here’s what one of our clients had to say, as can be seen on our Google Reviews:
Michael Redenburg took over my case when my past attorney retired from my case. My past attorney was the one who recommended him to me I can say it was the best choice he ever made. He is very attentive, loving, caring and the lawyer we need to have here everywhere. Michael is the lawyer that I will choose for any other case I will have. He works fast and does not play. He’s amazing! I recommend him so much to everyone I promise you guys were not regret it! I don’t know how else I can thank Michael and his firm for everything they have done for me.
